For 2012 three movies comes to mind, and it’s not Star Wars 1, 2 and 3 in 3d. Prometheus the Alien prequel look brilliant, The Hobbit (nuff said) and The Dark Knight Rise are two movies this year I will be camping out for.

Prometheus I think is really THE film to see in 2012, mainly for the reason it explains the original of the alien and avp genre, unless Ridley Scott does a terrible job and blows the budget on fx (Avatard reference) it’s going to be great even if you’re a fan boy.

The Hobbit, yes another fanboy movie but if Peter Jackson’s first 3 LoTR movies were a hit I’m guessing 10 years of waiting and evolution of sfx it’s going to look sweet while there’s no way I can see them ruin some Tolkien brilliance.

Last one being the Dark Knight Rise, yes I’ve heard plenty of people write this one off but the talent of Bale, Hardy and Nolan I just can’t see how this is going to be bad, seriously check the trailers.

While The Avengers (I know) after seeing the trailers I am *pumped* to go and while Skyfall could have promise, going by the rule of Bond movies every second one is crap, the last one was meh so this would have to be good. Though I am more looking forward to see with the next Bond movie who they’ll go with for the theme, safe bet is Adele while I’d prefer to see Michael Buble for the theme song.
